PRP Therapy
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCEDURE
About the procedure
The Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) facial, also known as the vampire facial, is a dermatological treatment that is excellent for skin rejuvenation. It uses a small amount of the patient’s own blood to stimulate the production of collagen and new skin cells in order to improve skin tone and texture.
Application areas:
• Face
• Neck
• Cleavage and chest
• Hands
Effects of therapy:
PRP therapy stimulates the regeneration and renewal of skin cells and its main effects include:
• Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles
• Skin tightening and toning
• Treatment of slight loss of collagen and volume
• Reducing dark circles under the eyes
• Alleviation or removal of acne scars
• Stimulating the growth of new cells
• Improvement of skin tone and texture
• Improvement of complexion
• Alleviation of the first signs of aging
Candidates for PRP therapy:
PRP therapy is recommended for people who have: acne scars, hyperpigmentation, who want to soften or erase fine lines and wrinkles, to tone and firm the skin, or those who have uneven skin tone or dry skin.
Duration of therapy:
Depending on the degree of aging and the needs of each person’s skin, an appropriate number of treatments is recommended in order to achieve and maintain the desired results. Most often, 3 treatments are enough to intensify natural collagen production, but the exact number of sessions is determined by Dr Konstantinos after assessing the condition and needs of your skin.
Duration of treatment:
Each treatment lasts approximately 30 minutes, after which the person can return directly to their activities.
Side effects:
The side effects of PRP facial treatment are very mild because the body is unlikely to have an adverse reaction to its own materials. At most, mild to moderate swelling and/or redness or warmth in the treated area can be expected.
Combining with other therapies:
For additional results, PRP therapy can be combined with other procedures such as thread lift, peels, hyaluron fillers, etc.
